Atoghu Multicolor Stripe Boubou

The stripes caught the light beautifully during the outdoor reception in Yaoundé. I sized up to L because I wanted it loose like that—the boubou sat just right on my hips and didn't cling. The paint-splash motifs are real hand-work, you can feel the texture.

Love the colors and the craftsmanship is clear, but even in M the shoulders sat wider than I expected. I'm narrow-framed and it swallowed me a little. Would have preferred an XS option. Still wore it proudly to my mother's anniversary dinner.

Bought myself an L and my mother got an M. We wore them to the compound opening in Buea last month and people were asking where we got them. The boubou moves beautifully—it's not stiff, but it holds its shape for photos. Worth every penny.

Wore this to my daughter's naming ceremony last month. The structured cut held up all day—no sagging even after hours of sitting and standing for the ceremony. Only wish the yellow was a touch deeper, but the colors photograph so clean it didn't matter in the end.
