Bamenda Multicolor Tassel Crown

I commissioned this for my son's chief installation last month and it arrived exactly as we discussed. The hand-knit work is solid—you can feel the quality in every tassel. The colors are true to the Bamenda flag, which meant everything to our family ceremony. Wore it myself during the procession and it sat beautifully on my head.

The Tassel Crown is absolutely gorgeous—the medallion is intricate and the fringe moves so well. I wore it to my cousin's wedding ceremony in DC and got so many questions. My only note: the commission took longer than I expected (4 months), so plan ahead if you need it for a specific date. Worth the wait though.

My mother and I both wore versions of this crown—hers for the naming ceremony, mine as support. The hand-knit detail is something you can't get mass-produced. It has real presence and weight, which is what a ceremonial piece should have. The tassel fringe catches light beautifully during the ritual moments.
