Houndstooth Classic Blazer

This blazer held its own at my son's naming ceremony in DC. The micro-pattern reads elegant in person—not costume-y. Over black linen trousers it was exactly what I needed. Fabric breathes, drape is clean, and it doesn't wrinkle if you treat it right.

Grabbed the 42 for my cousin's wedding in Baltimore last month. The houndstooth is sharp without being loud—the cupro lining actually moves right, not stiff. I wore it over cream trousers and it held up all night. Already brought it back to get the sleeves shortened a half inch; Stanley knocked it out in two weeks, no charge.

The Italian wool is substantial—you can feel the quality. Chest fitted me well at 44 but the shoulders pulled slightly. Sent it to Stanley for a small adjustment and now it's my go-to for client meetings downtown. Pairs beautifully with navy or charcoal.

Ordered the 46 expecting standard shoulder room but had to size up again. The canvas chest construction is solid and the cupro lining doesn't shift, which I appreciated. Once Stanley re-fitted it for me the fit was honest, but it would've been nice to nail it first try.

Bought this for a firm anniversary dinner and ended up wearing it weekly. The houndstooth pattern is timeless—works with jeans on weekends, works in the office. Italian wool doesn't pill, and the lining keeps everything feeling premium. True to size at 43.
