Gold-Spiral Velvet Shift

Ordered this for a private dinner and I felt like royalty. The knee length is modest but the velvet and gold detail make it so sophisticated—no need for jewelry because the embroidery speaks. The sleeveless cut is perfect for layering with a shawl or wearing on its own. M fit me perfectly.

This dress is everything. The velvet is so rich and the gold spirals catch the light just right—I felt like myself but elevated. It sits perfectly on the hips, not tight but structured, and the A-line doesn't bunch when you sit. I'm a true size L and ordered L; fit was spot on.

The filigree work is intricate and the fabric quality is exceptional—wore it to an alumni gala in Yaoundé and received many compliments. If I'm honest, I'm usually between sizes and ordered XL thinking it would be looser, but it still hugged my midsection more than I expected. Still stunning, just know it's cut close to the body through the torso.
